Emma Walters – Artist

My work is a way of sharing what I am seeing and feeling throughout my everyday life.  Throughout my day I go through an array of different emotions and experiences so when I am working on my art I explore different mediums that can support and enhance those emotions and experiences.

With much of my earlier work I worked with wet mediums including paints and inks developing and transferring decorative patterns on flat canvases as well as sculptures. Recently I have begun working more with dry mediums, translating sculptural objects and landscapes onto paper using charcoal and graphite.

I have also started working with film which is a format that gives greater depth of exploring social interactions and experiences. Film allows me to expand and develop my ideas as story lines and use editing and sound to help reflect the visions I have.

Emma K. Walters has enjoyed working as a multimedia artist since she was a child.  She enjoys abstract art and working with color. Her most recent works are posted in her Gallery.

Emma graduated from Chatham High School in New York and is currently studying Film and Television at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).
